ENJOY A EXCLUSIVE DINNER WITH WINE PAIRINGS

Join Black Restaurant Week for a exclusive dinner featuring Chef Kurt Evans. Guests will enjoy four courses paired with wine and a special private viewing in the African American Museum of Philadelphia.

About Chef Kurt Evans:

Chef Kurt Evans is a rising star chef in Philadelphia, having worked for several notable restaurants including his current location, South Jazz Restaurant. What makes Chef Evans a real star is his passion to use his talent to support the local community with social justice issues. He is the founder of the EMI dinner series, which is a pop up dinner series to highlight the issues of mass incarceration.

The goal for the EMI dinner series is to make the problem of mass incarceration a household conversation, says Evans. “It’s easy for those affected by it, including family and friends of those in the system, to be forgotten. But through discussion, we can keep them in the front of our minds, [and] community members can troubleshoot and devise plans to fix the broken system.” He is also the owner of Signature Catering Company a boutique catering company based in West Philadelphia
